Labor Law:  representation of labor unions in all aspects of union functions.

Experience

Attorney James F. Lamond has been practicing exclusively union-side labor and employment law with the firm since 1985. He frequently works with nurses, police officers, skilled tradesmen, school employees, building maintenance workers and their unions. He represents them in contract negotiations and labor arbitrations and before the courts and various state and federal agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board and the Massachusetts Division of Labor Relations, Civil Service Commission, Commission Against Discrimination and Board of Registration in Nursing. He has argued many cases before the state and federal appeals courts.

Jim has been included in “Best Lawyers in America” since 2007 and was recently recognized as both a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer” and a “New England Super Lawyer”. He has been a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars and has also been a contributor to the last two volumes of How Arbitration Works, often described as the classic text on labor arbitration. He is a trained mediator who enjoys helping clients find negotiated solutions.
