Labor Law: representation of labor unions in all aspects of union functions

Experience

Attorney Nicholas D. Wanger has practiced labor law exclusively on behalf of unions since joining the firm in 2022.

Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Wanger practiced for nearly eight years as a criminal defense attorney for The Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn. In this capacity, Attorney Wanger achieved favorable results for clients facing grave consequences including potential life sentences. He regularly employed both oral and written advocacy in persuading judges and prosecutors to assent to positive outcomes for his clients. He also tried several cases before juries, obtaining a dismissal or full acquittal in each matter.

While a law student, Attorney Wanger briefed and argued two appeals before the Vermont Supreme Court. As a member of a law school clinic, he participated in a federal habeas corpus evidentiary hearing that resulted in the release of a man who had been wrongfully convicted of a double homicide.
